About
Ellie LLC, Wedding Paper Designs

Ellie McLaughlin has been involved in different facets of the design industry for over 8 years. After spending 5 years in the web design field, she decided to return to her first love; print design.

Ellie provides designs that are unique and stylish and cater toward today’s bride. A bride herself October 28, 2005, she designed her own custom invitations knowing she wanted something different than the traditional invitation design. Several wedding invitations later, her hope is to provide you with the same thing; wedding paper that is stylish, and original just like you and something that makes your special day even more distinct and beautiful.

Stephen and Ellie McLaughlin are the sole owners and operators of Ellie LLC. Ellie does all the design work and Stephen manages much of the business side. A husband and wife team, they love being able to help make your special day as beautiful as theirs was.

Additional Questions and Answers
Q. What type of paper do you use to print your product on?
A. We use 100 lb. smooth white cardstock made from 10% post-consumer recycled fibers.

Q. Why don’t you print on colored paper?
A. We do not use colored paper which can mute some of the ink tones and make colors seem dull. Printing on matte white paper brings out the richness of the colors in your wedding paper.

Q. What type of printing process do you use?
A. We use a state-of-the-art HP Indigo 5500 digital press. Digital printing offers the quality of offset printing (the type of printing typically used to print high quality commercial materials such as magazines) with lower set up costs. The lower set up cost allows us to pass on more affordable wedding paper to you. We also use a four-color ink process which provides vibrancy to your wedding paper.

Q. Are envelopes included in my order?
A. Yes. Invitations, Save the Dates, Response Cards and Thank You Cards all come with heavy 70 lb. white envelopes. Many are made from 100% recycled paper. We do not include envelopes with Reception Cards as they generally are placed with the invitation inside the same envelope.

Q. What about extra envelopes?
A. We include 10 extra envelopes automatically with every order. If you have need for more, please contact us and let us know of your need. We can include extra envelopes for a small fee.

Q. Can I customize any of your products?
A. Yes. Any products can be customized by color, font and/or wording. For response, save the dates and reception cards, we will gather custom text information upon check-out. For invitations or for any color or font changes on any items please fill out our customization form through our website before placing your order. In the comments field please specify what item the customization is for (invitation, save the date, response card etc.). This way you can make sure the changes are what you envisioned before placing your order.

Q. What is your return policy?
A. We offer returns for the following reasons: 1) Printer Error — This includes anything printed that was not supposed to be part of the design. 2) Misspelling — If there is an error on our part that was not approved by you prior to going to press, we will reprint your invites or refund your money depending on your preference. For a full list of what we accept and cannot except along with our complete return policy please visit our website.

Q. What if I need a rush on my order?
A. If time is an issue, please contact us before placing your order and let us know your time constraints. Usually we can get your order to you very quickly. If you live within the Denver-metro area, we can also hand deliver shipments if time is a factor.

Tips and Advice
Olivia InvitationSend out your Save the Date cards about 5-7 months before your wedding date, or as soon as possible if you have a shorter engagement. This allows out of town guests to start looking for plane tickets and figure out work schedules in order to attend. Save the Dates are a courtesy that many guests appreciate and your attendance will generally be better if you choose to use them.

Order all wedding invitations, response cards and reception cards at least 4 to 6 weeks before you plan on mailing them.

Double and triple check everything before it is sent to press. Have friends and family members look over everything as well to ensure there are no errors. Look over it as though you are expecting to find errors.Do not approve anything until several people have had the chance to review it. Pay close attention to addresses and phone numbers as number errors can be easy to overlook.

When you decide to invite only a designated amount of people to the reception, make sure to order reception cards. That way you can include the reception information only for those that are invited. Others will get the standard wedding invitation that does not disclose reception information.

Send out your invitations, response cards, and reception cards at least 6 weeks before the wedding date. Ask that they rsvp at least 3 weeks before the wedding. This allows time for their response to get through the mail and gives you time to make the appropriate catering plans and seating arrangements.

If you do not receive a reply from some guests that you assume will make it to the wedding, do not hesitate to contact them by phone or email to confirm their plans. It is important to get a fairly accurate number of attendees to help you budget accordingly.

If you choose to order thank you cards, you may want to consider ordering them before the wedding ceremony; that way when you return from your honeymoon you can begin on them immediately. Wedding experts say you have about 5 weeks following the ceremony to send them out. Ordering them ahead of time will help ease the stress and give you more time to write at your own pace. Sometimes writing a thank you after you open each gift can help you sound more sincere and will avoid the long lists of gifts you would otherwise have to reference.
