About
Eclectic Photo is Kelly Talele.

I’m a portrait and wedding photographer located in Alpharetta, Georgia just north of Atlanta. While I will photograph just about anything, I currently specialize in maternity and newborn portraiture and weddings.

So why eclectic? Because I believe it’s the best word to not only describe my personality but also my photographic style. Just take a look through my gallery and I think you’ll see what I mean! I’d like to believe I take the best elements from my life experiences and combine them to create something truly unique. While I am partial to black and white photography, I am also captivated by color. And even though I tend to take a more artistic approach to my portraits, you will also find me occasionally shooting a traditional portrait. But there will always be something there...something that makes it a little nontraditional...something that makes it eclectic.

I take a more photojournalistic approach to my weddings capturing pure emotion rather than staged shots. I absolutely love it when my brides view their photos and are thrilled to see the images I captured because they had no idea I was there photographing that moment. That’s what I strive to do: photograph the day in such a way that you are able to relive your wedding as you go back and view your photos. It’s not just about telling the story of your wedding day...it’s about reliving it.

Frequently Asked Questions for Photography
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have photographed weddings in bright, mid-day sun as well as weddings in cave-like reception halls. It feels like I've done it all!

Is your media preference film or digital?
I am a 100% digital photographer at this time.

How many photographers do you work with?
I work with a handful of local professional wedding photographers, and I am always looking to expand that network.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely. When you hire Eclectic Photo for your wedding you are hiring Kelly Talele as the primary photographer. :)

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I love weddings, and I develop close relationships with my clients. So I limit the number of weddings I photograph each year so I can deliver the level of customer service my clients expect and deserve. I do not book more than two weddings in any given month.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
I always make sure I have a replacement photographer on hand in the (unlikely) event I am unable to make it. I haven't missed a wedding yet (knock on wood)!

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring my usual bag of tricks with me to all weddings: camera gear, lenses, lighting, etc. along with a few fun props for the wedding party. :)

Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I always have backup equipment with me.

Do you charge hourly or full day?
I offer four different wedding packages that fit within almost any budget. If you don't see a package that meets you needs, just let me know! I'm happy to work on a custom package with you. :)

Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I am available for coverage beyond the time included in the wedding package. My hourly rate for overtime is $200/hour. For additional coverage with two photographers it's $300/hour.

What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I don't really take breaks. I will "rest" during the reception when everyone is eating, but I also use that time to photograph the beautiful wedding details.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Your secure online proof gallery will be available two weeks after your wedding day (sometimes sooner!). I usually post a few teaser photos on my blog the very next day, though. :)

In what format are the initial proofs offered?
All wedding packages include a secure online proof gallery, but a spiral-bound proof magazine is included with my top two wedding packages. Or it can be purchased as an add on with any other package.

How long can the client keep the proofs?
If you purchase a proof magazine it is yours to keep. :)

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
I do retain the copyright to all my photos, but if my clients purchase a package with the digital files they will receive a reprint license to make their own prints.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
My wedding contract does give me permission to use the wedding photos for marketing and advertising purposes.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
The digital files are available with some wedding packages and they can be purchased as an add on item with any other package.

Will images be available for viewing online?
Absolutely. Your secure online proof gallery will remain online for six months. Please feel free to share it with friends and family!

What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer both flush mount albums and coffee table books.

When will the client get the final album?
Wedding albums typically take 6-8 weeks to arrive once the design has been finalized and the album has been ordered.
