Because I work so hard at providing service, I only recommend other vendors who also provide quality products and service. Scott Devol from & Eat It, Too! tops the list for wedding cakes. One taste and I know you will agree that his cakes are "the best I've ever had". (And I have tasted a lot of wedding cake over the years). From the design to the taste, wedding cakes say so much about your whole day....make it one that your guests will be talking about long after the day is over. ~ Merry @ Merry Me Creations
Scott is very creative and makes beautiful cakes.

Frequently Asked Questions for Wedding Cake
Besides cakes, what other types of desserts do you provide?
Cupcakes, Dessert Buffet, Groom's Cake

What additional services do you provide?
Consultations, On-site Delivery, On-site Setup, Tastings

Do you provide customary cakes, such as Croquembouche?
No

Are you licensed by the state health department?
Yes

Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
I offer private consultations and tastings. For the time being, I can book you pretty much any time or day.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
My cakes are priced by the serving, all inclusive. So take my price per serving, multiply by the number of servings and there is your final cost.

Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
I can do custom or pre-designed, whatever is wanted by the bride.

On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
The cake is usually baked two or three days before the wedding, but kept refrigerated.

How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
Most of the time, one cake per weekend.

What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
I have a lot of clear glass pedestals for centerpiece cakes or centerpieces that need a little elevation. I also rent clear acrylic "ice" and faux diamonds that can be scattered around the cake table.

Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Delivery and set up are free within 75 miles.

Additional Questions and Answers
Do you have to have a traditional cake topper?
You can top your cake with whatever you like, or nothing at all. If you have an heirloom piece -- perhaps an antique brooch -- work with your baker to add it into your top tier. Or, consider using your parent's cake topper as your something old. Look to your locale too. Other ideas: a cascade of ribbons or sugar letters shaped as your new monogram.

How should I display my cake at the reception?
A round table is perfect for round cakes, but a square design may look better displayed upon a square table. Next, pick out linens that will highlight the color of the cake. Finally, don't hide your wedding cake in the corner. Have it set on risers or near the entrance of your reception. Faux ice or diamonds can be scattered around the cake table.

When should I start looking for a cake baker?
Cake bakers should be booked within four to six months before your wedding, but keep in mind, some reputable bakers are often hired up to a year in advance. Some reception sites may require that you use their catering services, but stringent cake rules are less common. Definitely ask your caterer if you can bring a cake from an outside source.
