Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
Most events require 55-65 songs - 4 hours. DJ Carl suggests you provide him with 5-10 of your favorite "danceable" songs in advance and is open to all requests at the event.
What is your usual attire?
Tuxedo with matching tie to bridemaids' dresses color.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If DJ Carl does not have a specific song and the client does, then we can connect their smartphone to his sound system to play the request.
How many other DJs do you work with?
DJ Carl has full-time DJ friends around the country who can assist or fill-in with unforeseen circumstances.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
2 hours.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
DJ Carl meets with all his clients and does not send out associate DJs to represent his professional services unless due to unforeseen circumstances.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
DJ Carl can play music for all types of people from all walks of life. He never judges the book by its cover. Success comes from preparation , research and homework. His past clients' images are distributed throughout his website at http://www.djcarl.com
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Yes.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. The best equipment is always used. DJCarl.com, LLC is full-time business that is registered and licensed that depends on having the best equipment available on the market.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
DJ Carl can provide intelligent lighting.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
DJ Carl requires a draped table and access to two electrical outlets. Set-up is no less than 2 hours from the start time of the event.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
No.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?

How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
DJ Carl would advise the guests to celebrate and show their love for the bride and groom. He would ask the guests for requests. He would rotate the genres of music to have a more holistic perspective upon the event.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
DJ Carl does not take food breaks during his weddings, however, he does require a meal be provided which he will eat after the wedding.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
N/A. While a DJ takes a break, one should be managing the music volumes as they then to peak at times.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
DJ Carl has entrusted his back-up DJ plan to a few full-time, mature DJs in the area.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
One event per day which is why the fee may be higher than other entertainers.
What is your overtime rate?
$300.00/hour after 10 minutes of a grace period. It is noted in the contract in more details.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
Client pays for airfare (includes extra luggage) hotel (2 nights), vehicle rental (or ground transportation) and $75 per diem.
