Do you need an appointment? Yes, you will need to schedule an appointment. I accept appointments on Wednesdays and Fridays, between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. And Saturdays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. What is the usual turnaround time? For wedding dress alterations I usually have a 2 - 3 week turnaround time frame. For all other formal alterations such as bridesmaids, flower girl dresses and mother’s dresses; I usually have a 1 - 2 week turn around time frame. What are your terms of payment? You pay 50% down at the first appointment and the balance at your pick up time. I accept cash, checks, moneyorders, debit and credit cards. What should I bring along for the first appointment? You need to bring the shoes and the undergarments that will be worn with the gown. It is important to be fitted with the correct undergarments in order to receive an accurate fit.

Give yourself at least 9 - 12 months for planning your wedding and to look for your perfect dress. Wedding planning experts suggests this time frame which will give you plenty of time to get everything done. Plus you will find you will experience ’less stress’ than if you try to do so in 6 months or less. Once you order you dress start your search for the best sewing professional to alter your dress. When your bridal dress comes in, make sure you call and schedule your alterations fitting right away. If you are trying to lose weight, your sewing professional should be able to work with you to schedule your dress delivery a little closer to the wedding date. For your alteration fitting... make sure to take along your bridal lingerie such as, the bra, slimming garments and slip. Whatever you plan to wear under the dress you need to be fitted in those garments. You need to also have the shoes you plan to wear if you need your dress hemmed. Be prepared to pay a deposit at your first fitting. On your wedding day have your mother or a bridesmaid keep a few emergency items handy for you on your wedding day, such as safety pins in case something comes a loose and baby wipes for stains. Remember the best laid plans ,no matter if you gave yourself plenty of time, might not work out how you want on your wedding day. Just don’t sweat the small stuff.
