Deja Blu's music is a danceable mix of the very best of Classic & Contemporary Rock, Motown, Soul, Blues, Jazz & Swing with a kick of country. All 5 members of the band sing (male & female lead singers) thus, our song list is extensive & covers over 5 DECADES OF MUSIC, from the 60's to today's current hits. We can rock the house with a classic from The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Santana or a funky Motown tune. Looking for something more contemporary? From Fleetwood Mac, Journey and Bonnie Raitt to Rascal Flatts, Diana Krall and Bon Jovi- we know how to keep the dance floor filled.
Described as "an experience to savor", "Undeniable stage presence with extremely talented musicians" This band knows how to entertain an audience & have fun on stage. With fiery lead guitar solos, a solid rhythm section & a Hammond organ- the musicians are some of the best around. Add to this recipe 5 vocalists with harmonies that are especially tight & powerful- you get one of the best dance bands in Colorado.
The 5 members of Deja Blu have been together for over 8 years. We do not substitute musicians. We specialize in weddings & our play list is extensive. We will gladly take requests to learn songs. We actually will learn the song (no reading charts off of music stands) This adds to our stage presence and allows our attention to be focused on you and your guests. We love what we do and it shows. We are very interactive and fun. With wireless mics, we know how to fill a dance floor. The photos say it all. We will gladly provide references.

How many band members do you regularly have? 5 members- all of us sing
What is your band's usual attire? We can dress Casual, Black Tie or formal(tux/evening gown)
Do you offer live sample performances? Absolutely- please review our band web site

Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know? Absolutely. We ask that you give us a minimum of 6 weeks notice. We will actually learn the song. We don't read charts on music stands. We feel that this greatly adds to our stage presence by allowing us to interact with the audience.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service? We can provide Cocktail/Dinner music- either live or DJ services available
Do you usually emcee the reception and/or talk between songs? Yes, Liz does an amazing job and is very flexible and easy to work with.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal? Yes- if the band is traveling outside of Denver, we will usually ask that a meal be provided to make the logistics of set up & sound check easier.
Do you play recorded music during your breaks? Absolutely- we have an IPOD and can play anything you request or Liz will be more than happy to make suggestions
How much time do you usually need for setup? 2 hours
How much space do you usually require? 16 x 20 feet
What is your overtime rate? $300.00/hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge? Depends on the distance we have to travel. If an overnight stay is required, we will ask for a minimum of 2 rooms

My name is Liz Valles and I am the band manager and lead singer. I am a professional business woman and I understand the coordination and logistics that go into hiring a top notch dance band. I have worked with many brides over the past 8 years and am very proud of the glowing feedback I have received from past brides on working with me throughout the entire time leading up to the big night.
I am very attentive to the details, flexible and extremely easy to work with. I take great pride in being easlily accessable by phone and email. With local events, I will request a walk through of the venue to ensure the proper placement of the band and load in logistics for the band. I will spend time with you to review the intinerary and song selection. I have the experience of working with many brides and can offer up ideas and make suggestions so that you don’t have to worry about the entertainment. I want you to enjoy your special night and not worry a thing about the music and reception- let me do that for you. If the venue has a wedding coordinator, I will meet with him/her to lay out the itineary and work with them through out the night to make sure we are on schedule and flexible to any changes that may come up.
