About
Day of the Diva was formed with the concept in mind to have women of all ages attend the events whether or not they wer planning a wedding or just wanted to attend to see what is new and perhaps even book vendors for other social occasions.   Guests receive a complimentary bag provided by one of our sponsors: Here Comes The Guide    Then,  they may choose a wide variety of regional bridal magazines to take home with them.  This alone is a savings.  From there guests visit  the exhibitors, sample goodies, check out fashion, enjoy music and perhaps even walk out with a gift or two.  We always encourage guests to arrive early and make time to spend quaity time with the exhibitors.  Sometimes, new friendships are formed or someone has been hired by one of the participating companies.  Whatever your reason for coming are hopes for you is to have an enjoyable day.

Additional Questions and Answers
Questions often asked by potential exhibitors

How many brides come to your events?
Our Answer:  Although we would love to give you a specific number we cannot.  We can give you an honest guess of how many may...attend.  However, there are NO guarentees.  People may register but that does not guarantee they are a ligitment bride-to-be.  Due to the increase of bridal shows throughout Southern California often girls will go from one show to the next.  Some even make a hobby of it.

Can you guarantee us a specific number to come to your event?
Our Answer:  NO.  Although we spend a significant amount of time listing the show to numerous internet sites, sending press releases throughout Southern Caifornia, paying for "blasts to the brides", advertising in magazines, sending out mass mailing invitations, advertising on radio, television and newspapers.  We still cannot guarantee a specific number.  We've done our part to market the show.  We feel each vendor should also get the word out to their resources to support "thier show (s), yet it still doesn't guarantee numbers.  We've sold tickets in advance yet if someone is ill or something came up they may not show.  This is our honest answer.  To promote your business you take risks.  The rate of most shows is a deal for you the exhibitor as you would generally not cover most of the basis a show does and to pay for an ad in the newspaper on a one time deal you may/may not be seen.

Shows are a tool.  They offer you exposure  and a personal connection to your peers and to the public.

We hope we've been of help and we hope you will join us for an upcoming event.  Much success to all!

Tips and Advice
For past and present exhibitors:

When you are thinking about participating in an event get prepared early.
Make sure your business cards and marketing materials have current information.
Update your display.
Get plenty of rest, look professional and have a friendly attitude. ALL DAY
STAY INFORMED... know where the venue is located..arrive early enough that you can set up your display, visit or have something to eat prior to the show so when the doors open to the public you are prepared to receive them.
Regardless of the turnout .... STAY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY.  - Not every event turns out how someone would like it too.  Your attitude will proceed you.
Help others if you have additional time on your hands if someone is struggling.
Attend Mixers about the show prior to the event when they are offered.  Business opportunities often happend during this time.. Don't miss out!
Have questions or specific needs? Don't be shy ...  ASK IN ADVANCE... The promoters want you to succeed .. let them help you if you are in question of anything.
Follow up with your business connections and leads right after the show.  If you are pre-registering guests make sure their information is correct.  Make yourself notes on any specific needs your potential clients has and ask again... is this your correct phone number or e-mail?

Lastly....try not to blame others if you did not make a sale or you didn't make the best of the day.  Promoters of events spend a tremendous amount of time and energy to secure venues, pay advertising etc., to make an event successful.  No one goes out to purposely to do this to make it a bad day for anyone.  Support the show in any way you can as if you were the promoter... put yourself in their shoes ... then you'll know it's all about team effort.

We wish everyone success in each of your endeavors!
