Endorsements
Darlene is a true artist and master at her craft. She usess the camera like a brush to paint the world around her, And manages to bring out the best in the subjects and people she photographs. She is kind and disarming with a fun sense of humor. Highly devoted to her clients and friends, and very "focused" when she's working (no pun intended). Highly respected by her peers for her work and always finds the good in everything, and everyone. Another exceptional offering of Darlene's, is that she remains one of the few select photographers in Boston who still offers "film" as well as "digital" photography; you can have either or both formats used!

Tips and Advice

There are a LOT of photographers out there, many great ones but many more mediocre ones! What i notice the most these days is that photographers do not know how to really capture the emotion and feeling of the day. You’ll see beautiful stills and magazine style portraits of the bride and groom, but what about the candid moments, the "real’ moments, those are what tell the story. I hear over and over again, "I’m not good with formals", it’s because it’s not an easy thing to do, it’s an art in itself to be able to capture FORMALS in a non formal way!

When looking for a photographer pay attention to the images, posed and non posed, they need to speak to you as photographic stories, not snapshots.  Good luck and I hope you’ll stop by and visit!
