we love weddings, and we love being part of all the action, from the chaos of getting ready to the final dip on the dance floor. we love seeing the tears when the groom sees the bride for the first time (and yes, we have them too). we catch the groomsmen doing shots to calm their nerves and we share the giddiness of the bridesmaids because they can't believe their sister and best friend is getting married (finally!). we love sharing the joy of the parents as they watch their little babies say "i do" and always get a little sentimental ourselves at the amazing toasts. we are in awe at each amazingly choreographed first dance and can't wait to see if the groom is going to do something silly for the cake cutting. we love the sexiness and passion when the garter belt comes off and feel the anticipation of every single girl on the dance floor as she waits to catch the bouquet.

we are a san diego, ca based photography team that specializes in creating unique memories for you at an affordable price. we always provide two photographers for the event and we split up before the ceremony, to give equal attention to the bride and groom (guys, put on your best entourage pose).  our team consists of danielle and james, the main photographers, and we have three amazing associates--ania, delshad and denley, all of whom bring a similar style and perspective.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
We retouch all images prior to giving them to you. We provide both color and black and white images, as well as special techniques to bring out the look of the photo
 
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
We have a lot of experience shooting in low light (for example in churches), bright sun (we do a lot of outdoor weddings), nighttime (outdoors with not a lot of light). We bring the appropriate equipment to ensure we can capture the shots.
 
Is your media preference film or digital?
We shoot all digital.
 
How many photographers do you work with?
We have 5 photographers as part of our team, the main photographers are Dani and James, and we have 3 associates who are available to shoot with us or on their own.
 
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
When you book with us, we will talk to you about who you want. Dani and James are available for the prices listed on the website. Our associates are available for a lower rate. You will always get the people you book for the wedding.
 
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Each team of photographers only shoots one event per day, sometimes we may do multiple events per weekend.
 
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, we have several backups if necessary.
 
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
We always have back-up equipment on hand.
 
Do you charge hourly or full day?
We charge hourly, and have flexible package pricing available.
 
Do you charge for travel?
We charge for travel outside the San Diego area. Travel is based on the location and duration, and the rate is provided at the initial consultation.
 
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Approximately 4 weeks.
 
In what format are the initial proofs offered?

How long can the client keep the proofs?
The proofs are available online for 3 months, which can be extended if the couple desires
 
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
We provide the couple with limited copyright release, which means they can print their own photos for their personal use
 
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes, we may use the photos in our marketing and advertising
 
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, we provide a high-resolution DVD of all the images
 
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes, we use several online services, and we choose one that is right for the client
 
What kind of albums do you offer?
We offer custom designed bound albums, with a variety of covers--leather, metal, fabric, printed, at a very reasonable price
 
When will the client get the final album?
About 6 weeks after you order, and the ordering depends on how long it takes for us (you and us) to pick out which photos you want to use in the album

Tips and Advice
Based on our own wedding experience (we just got married in March) and our experience shooting weddings for several years, we believe the most important thing to look for in a photographer is the relationship / connection.  You need to feel absolutely comfortable that your personalities click, because you will be with the photographer for most of your wedding day.  We will ask you to make-out, get intimate, and share things with us that others may not see, so it is very important that you not only like us, but feel like we could be your good friends.
