Dance Ten is a full service dance instruction company specializing in Ballroom, Latin and Swing dancing. Janet is awesome dance instructor. I know everyone raves of how comfortable they feel in learning from Janet and Dance Ten studios. Every couple that comes to see our video demos wants to dance just like the demo and I always send them to Dance 10 because I know they will thank me for it.

How many lessons do we need to learn our First Dance?
Most couples take between 4-6 lessons. If you want a choreographed routine, then we recommend at least 10 lessons.
How far in advance should we start dance lessons?
At least 6-8 weeks in advance. We do, however, also get a lot of calls for last minute lessons, so if you have to have lessons the week of the wedding, we can accommodate you.
We have gone overbudget already. How can we learn a dance on an already overextended budget?
The best thing to do is to purchase one of our instructional DVDs online and then take a private lesson to clean things up and talk about how to get on and off the dance floor. Or you can drop-in to a group class.
Do we need to pick a certain song or type of song or can we use any song we want?
You can use any song you want. You can normally dance 2-3 different dances to any given song so on your first lesson, you will get to sample the different dances that go with your song, and you can pick your favorite. And that will be the one we use. Everything is extremely customized just for you.
My fiance is not a dancer and has 2 left feet. What do you suggest in order to learn our First Dance?
We recommend in-home lessons. That way, you can learn in the comfort and privacy of your own home without anyone else watching you. After the first lesson, you will both see how easy and fun dancing can be and you will be at ease about dancing your First Dance in front of your guests.
