Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I carefully edit each image myself and use several different techniques to make colors pop and creamy black and white images.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have experience with every kind of light out there. Honestly. I photographed a reception that literally had one spotlight to light the entire space.
Is your media preference film or digital?
I love film and digital, but for workflow purposes I use the highest professional standard digital cameras and lenses.
How many photographers do you work with?
1-2
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Absolutely. I'm part of the whole experience.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No! I only photograph one wedding per day, per weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring all of my standard equipment and back ups.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
See above. :)
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I offer packages which include a set number of hours - the number of hours vary per package.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
I am available for overtime.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Proofs are ready 3-4 weeks after the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
I offer online proofing which is very convenient for out of town guests and relatives and the couple receives a 4x6" print of each edited picture.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
I do not require proofs to be returned.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Absolutely. Copyright and permission for a client to print their pictures are two completely different things. I will never sell my copyright to any of my pictures. I will give permission to my clients to reprint their pictures for personal use.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
The files are offered in my packages.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I offer hand made leather albums and hard cover custom coffee table books.
When will the client get the final album?
Albums are shipped anywhere from 4-6 months after the client approves the final layout.
