Clara's Designer Cakes specializes in creating custom couture cakes.  We offer the latest in wedding cake styles and trends. Our designer cakes are created using only the finest ingredients and are meticulously decorated with the utmost attention to detail.  By appointment only.  Licensed and insured.

 

 

Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings? We offer private tastings by appointment only.

What are your tasting hours? Tastings may be scheduled anytime between 9am and 6pm on certain Sundays. Please contact us for upcoming tasting dates.

Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes? Prices are per slice/serving and vary depending on the intricacy and design of the cake.

Does the price include the top-tier of the cake? Yes.

Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles? We specialize in custom designed cakes, however, we can reproduce a particular design if you prefer.

What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes? We use only the finest, brand name ingredients such as European style butter, fresh fruits, imported chocolate and fondant. Our use Italian Meringue Buttercream, and offer a large range of filling options. If you don' t see it on our menu, please ask. We will be happy to make it for you.

What (if any) dietary restrictions, such as kosher, can you accommodate? We offer gluten-free and eggless cakes.

On average, how far in advance of the wedding day do you prepare the cake? Our cakes are always baked fresh 72 hours prior to any event and then decorated. Our cakes are never frozen.

On average, how many wedding cakes do you do for a weekend? We produce an average of 8 to 10 wedding cakes per weekend during peak seasons.

Will you work with the bride's florist to garnish the cake? Yes, we are always happy to work directly with your florist to ensure your flowers are carefully and delicately placed on your cake.

What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out? We offer cake stands and plateaus for rent at a nominal fee.

Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee? Cake delivery is available throughout the Mid Atlantic Region and beyond. Actual delivery fees vary and are based on the distance from our location to the cake's final destination.
