How many planners do you work with?
We have one wedding planner and one assistant on staff. We also have other assistants and coordinators available if the need arises.
 
What style of wedding do you specialize in planning?
Variety is the spice of life! We love all types of weddings...whether you are looking for something romantic, chic, spectacular, trendy, homespun, earthy, classic, etc.
 
Do you support or cater to any specific religions?
We support all religious affiliations. We have worked with Christians, Seventh Day Adventist, Islamic, Hindus, Buddhists, non-denomination, and persons who do not have any religious affiliations.
 
What sizes of weddings have you coordinated in the past?
We have coordinated and managed various events from 25 people to over 1,000.
 
Which venues have you worked at or are familiar with?
We have worked with various venues in Virginia and Maryland. We prefer to show you our portfolio in person and the venues we have used or are familar with.

How soon should I book your services?

"Sooner is better than later!" We are currently booking Day of Coordination Services for 2008 and 2009.

While we try to update our calendar found on the "Contact Us" section as often as possible, please contact us for our availability.

How much notice do you need to book Day of Coordinator Services?

If we’re not booked, we’re available!

What is required for booking your services?

We require a signed contract and a non-refundable $100 retainer to book our Day of Coordination Services and a 30% non-refundable deposit to book our Full Service Planning Package.

When is final payment due?

Final payment is due 10 days before or on the day of your event .

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept personal checks, money orders, bank/certified checks, and debit/credit cards.  Checks are not accepted on the day of the event.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Retainers are non-refundable. However, any payments made towards services are fully refundable up to three (3) months prior to your event with written notice, if the service has not been performed.

How do I order products and other creative services by CKAS Events & Weddings, LLC?

Please contact us with all your questions, and a representative will gladly provide a quote, delivery estimation, and other details.

Do you work with an assistant?

Every event requires a minimum of 1 assistant.  Depending on your needs, we will provide an additional assistant for a small added fee.

What happens if my Coordinator is sick?

We will be sure to provide you with an alternate coordinator should the need arise. You will be notified in advance and the replacement coordinator will be well informed of your needs.

Can I add products or services after I’ve signed the contract?

Of course you can!  We will work with you to suit your needs and draft another contract if necessary.

Do you offer product or service package discounts?

The more the better! We will discount high quantities.

What about tipping?

We get this question a lot! As with other vendors who are out there working hard to make sure your day is everything you dreamed of, gratuities are of course appreciated, but certainly not a requirement.

What benefits do I have for using your "preferred vendors?"

We pride ourselves on reputation and excellent service.  We work with our preferred vendors constantly and ensure a stress-free day! Our preferred vendors may offer a discount at their discretion but only as a client of ours.   We do not receive any fees for recommending their services or products.

What is the best way to contact CKAS Events & Weddings?

We prefer email as it enables us to keep your information organized best.  We will respond to all emails within 24-hours during the week and within 48-hours on weekends as we are often working at this time.

What is the difference between a Day of Coordinator, a Bridal Attendant, a Event Coordinator, or a Banquet Manager provided to me by my reception site?

A Bridal Attendant, Event Coordinator, or Banquet Manager provided to you by your venue is employed by your reception site. They will ensure that your reception runs smoothly while you are at the venue. They are employed by the reception site and not by you personally and are limited to what services they can extend to you as there are many details that a Day of Coordinator handles, that a staff member of your venue cannot provide.

A Day of Coordinator (DOC) is employed solely by you and will work with you during the entire duration of planning and management of your event. We will be the point-person for yourself, guests, and vendors should any problems arise.
