Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
I provide special colorings like black & white, vintage, sepia, etc. as part of my packages for no extra charge.
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
Of course. As a journalist and as a wedding photographer I am always shooting in changing lighting situations!
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital. I carry two digital cameras on me at ALL times for a wedding. I have a Canon 5D Mark 2 and a Canon 40D.
How many photographers do you work with?
I have several assistants.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
No. Things happen, details change I am there for my bride. I have had brides call me the day before the wedding requesting a time change, that's not a problem. I don't want to go to a second wedding tired, I prefer to give my all to each and every wedding.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I have studio lights, AT LEAST two cameras, several lenses, etc.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Of course! I wouldn't be a professional if I didn't.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I have packages for both. My basic package is called "Sweet and Simple" and is a one hour package with CD of edited images for $599 and is for elopements and small weddings.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes. My standard rate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Usually one.
Do you charge for travel?
Yes.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4-6 weeks. Usually a month or less.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
I have an online gallery for viewing. I will email you a link that you may share with all your friends and family.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Legally, the copyright belongs to the photographer. You may purchase the rights to print from the photos by buying a CD with a photo release.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
If they choose this in their package.
Will images be available for viewing online?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
I have several styles from coffee table to leather.
When will the client get the final album?
Typically about 6-8 weeks after the wedding.
