In 2005 Stephanie Kleier graduated from Roanoke College with a Bachelors of Business Administration and Marketing. She joined forces with her mother, Deb, and opened a stationery and gift store called The Purple Door in her home town of Hillsborough, NJ.
Having gotten engaged she was in search of wedding invitations, noticed no one in the area sold them and decided that an invitation line would be an excellent addition to her gift store.
The invitation business took off like wildfire! In 2006 Stephanie and her mom opted to transform their company and combined The Purple Door with Deb's store Chicklet Books, creating a fun and funky book boutique that mixed books with gifts and stationery!
The concept has taken off and they have opened their second Chicklet Books in the Princeton Shopping Center! Sorry, no invitations are available at this store!
Deb and Stephanie are also very excited for their new addition to the Chicklet Family! Chicklet Books has aquired The Millstone Workshop in Millstone, NJ and are in the works for moving their Hillsborough Store to this quaint location! Our awesome invitations will be located here!
In 2007 Stephanie and her husband Curt created K Photography, photographing memories that will last a lifetime!
