Additional Questions and Answers
How do you determine how many lights to use?
The first step is to determine the size of the room. For uplights, we look at how many feet of wall-space there is and divide by 10. For example, a ballroom that is 40 x 80 will have 240 feet (40 + 40 + 80 +80) of wall-space. We recommend one light approximately every 10 feet. Pattern projectors also must take into account the "throw," which is the distance from the light to the area it will shine on, and the size of the image on that area. We also must take into account available electricity and space in which to set up the lights.
Do your lights interfere with the photographs?
No. We consider EVERY aspect of an event when designing the lighting.
We want to re-create a look we saw in a picture. Can you do that?
Absolutely. Send us a picture or a link and we’ll create the design for you.
How long does it take to make a custom pattern?
Usually about 10 days. But rush delivery is available for an additional charge. All you need to do is send us your artwork and we’ll get it made.
Why can’t we just have our DJ or band do the lighting?
You can. However, we feel our experience, higher quality equipment, and focus on event production will produce a superior result. We will coordinate our service with all other venders to create the result you’ll be amazed with.
What other services do you offer?
Event drapery, video displays, and sound reproduction (mp3 systems to sound reinforcement for a live band) are available. We have a wide range of products, including red carpets, photo backdrops, banners, etc., to create the event you desire.
What is the difference between your gobo projectors and others?
We use theatrical projectors with top quality lenses and bulbs; we use the best possible gobo manufacturer; and we have more experience with event lighting. You get the best possible image.
