I wish I knew about Emily for my wedding day! Her work is simply beautiful, elegant and she has a natural gift of bringing every individual's natural beauty out into the forefront. I see many brides radiant faces glow after Emily has touched them with her artistry.
Emily is amazing - not only does she make everyone look absolutely fabulous, but you can tell she has a really good time - she loves making people beautiful. She is a pleasure to work with!

Emily not only knows how to make a bride look beautiful, but she knows how to make the look last all day long.
Emily and Trish have done makeup for a number of our brides and they are absolutely fabulous. They're quick, but thoughtful in the process and all my brides are so happy with them. I always refer Cheekadee because they're punctual, professional, and simply the best! Emily has also done my makeup on two separate occasions and I loved it each time.

Tips and Advice
Twenty-One years of doing makeup for weddings has taught me a lot.
So, I am happy to share some of my thoughts and insight into how to make your "Big Day" run smoother.

1. Make sure that you get a trial run with at least two different artists; I always tell people this. Makeup is an art form and you will find many interpretations of this art form! Make sure that this person listens to what you have to say instead of just doing what he/she thinks would look good on you.

2. While we are on this subject... Make sure that you come prepared and figure out what kind of a look that you would like to achieve on your wedding day; be realistic and avoid trends. Don’t bring a photo of of someone with completely different features and expect it to look the same on you- it won’t. If you are unsure, stick with a classic look.

3. Make sure that everything that is used is waterproof: eyeliner, concealer, mascara. Your makeup should last through the tears and smiles, and laughs and fun! Also make sure to wear a long-wear lipstick (I like Chanel’s Ultra Wear Lip Color). If you are oily, make sure to use oil-free makeup and bring along a good powder for touch up (I like MAC’s Blot Powder).

4. A visit to the dermatologists office is a great idea to get your skin in order; a few months ahead of time.
But remember, just as you wouldn’t get your eyebrows waxed or a facial a few days or a week before your wedding, you also should not try a new skin care regime the day before your wedding. You don’t want to risk having a reaction too close to the Big Day!

4. If your dress is strapless (or off the shoulder), make sure that you don’t have swimsuit tan marks. If you can, try to forgo the tanning bed
(your skin will thank you for it!).

5. Finally, RELAX and enjoy yourself while someone is pampering you on your Big Day!
