Carr Video Productions is an Alabama based event videography company that was founded by Chris Carr, a former New York based filmmaker.  Here at Carr Video, we love producing band demos, commercials, and corporate projects, but our speciality is weddings.  This all came to fruition as a result of watching a host of our friends' wedding videos and seeing a need for something different.  While most of these videos were of professional quality, it was apparent that the Alabama wedding video market was flooded with companies offering traditional, dramatic styles of videography scored to the cliche sounds of Kenny G and Etta James.  However, none of them had the "edge" that we had come to enjoy as both filmmakers and film watchers.  Now, we certainly don't mean any offense towards the "Songbird" fans out there, but we saw these videos as an indication that Alabama needed a wedding filmmaking service that could provide newlywed couples with a style of cinematography that…well…we would enjoy if we were in their shoes.  So, thus, Carr Video Productions was born.  Don't get us wrong-  If a more traditional style is your preference, we can certainly accommodate you.  We have produced more than our fair share of slow motion montages edited to Old Blue Eyes crooning "Just The Way You Look Tonight."  However, our goal and passion is to reach beyond the realm of traditional "videography" and instead provide our clients with custom "cinematography" that is original, fun, and exciting.  Our wedding films are personalized and aimed at capturing our generation's sensibility and style while maintaining the timelessness of romance and love.
