About
Capriccio Ensemble began as a Trio of Violin, Flute and Cello 25 years ago. Formed by sisters Natalie and Amy Kriegler the
ensemble has been performing at concerts, weddings and for private events throughout NY and NJ and Long Island.
In the past 10 years we have mainly performed as an ensemble of all strings via either a String Trio or Duet or Quartet. We also provide,
as a compliment to the strings, a soprano or harpist, pianist or trumpeter. Soloists we provide are either a Violinist, Cellist, Harpist, Guitarist,
or Pianist for either the Ceremony or Cocktail Hour.

in 1999 our String Trio (violin, viola and cello) was chosen after the entertainment agent reviewed and compared the quality of 15 ensembles..we were selected to perform at the wedding ceremony of Jerry Seinfeld!
Mr Seinfeld and his wife Jessica will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary this Christmas Day 1999

A featured aspect of our ensemble is that we are all experienced full time performers and are skilled in the performance of all/any style of music.
Our repertoire has grown from simple and beautiful chamber music to include a large library of popular favorites, Sinatra songs, showtunes, old and neas well as vintage rock songs such as specially done arrangements (our very own arrangements) of songs such as "Thank You" by Led Zeppelin, and "All My Love" and Kashmir" which are songs we have via our colleagues the "Hampton String Quartet" We also have  songs from the 80's and 90's pop culture genre including "Naive Melody" by the Talking Heads, "Never Tear us Apart" by the INXS, "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve, "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey, "Just like Heaven" by Robert Smith/the Cure, "Soul to Squeeze" by the Red Hot Chil Peppers and many more. Please feel free to
inquire!

Recent performance credits include the Radio Show of Dr. Jennifer Pascual, the Director of Music of the Cathedral of St. Patrick NYC
on October 26th 2009, "Sounds from the Spires" on the
Sirius Sattelite Catholic Channel 159/Sirius XM 117. Our String Quartet performed live on the show and we were the featured artists for the show.
Coming soon, Our String Quartet performs 2 concerts, 12/5/09 @ 7:30 PM and again on 12/6/09 @ 3:00 PM held at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers NY for the annual "Concerts at Advent" which also feature Choirs (including the Seminarians), trumpets, tympani, organ and are conducted by Dr. Jennifer Pascual.

Tips and Advice
Here are some helpful things to know when choosing your special music!
If your wedding is being held at a reception location or hotel or on the beach, you can choose any song that is meaningful for you. Just a
suggestion however to be sure the song you love has a good walking beat/tempo try a rehearsal anywhere in your home to see if you feel
that the tempo of the song fits well for your walk down the aisle or will fit well for the walk of your bridal attendants too!

If your wedding is being held at a Church please be sure to speak to the music ministry and pastor of the church to be sure to know what
music is recommended. Some churches allow different styles of music from classical to folk songs and even light popular favorites however
other churches restrict any "Secular" selections so be sure to inquire of the church music director/music minister or priest or pastor to be sure
of what is acceptable for performance.
Our String Quartet has recently performed on the Radio Show called "Sounds from the Spires" of Dr. Jennifer Pascual, Director of Music of the Cathedral of St. Patrick Church
NYC and she recommends that all bride's and groom's please be sure to ask the church music director about music choices. Although she allowed us to perform "Never Tear us Apart" by the INXS and "Bittersweet Symphony" by the Verve on her show, she smiles and did say that these would not be allowed for performance at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC!
