About
Congratulations on your special day!  No job is too big or too small.  If it's important to you, then it's important to me.  Calligraphy has been a passion of mine for many years, and I'm so excited to make it my full time career.  I am happily married to my sweet husband, Thomas, of six years. Because it was not too long ago since our wedding, I do understand the importance of planning a special event, especially if you are on a budget. As a graduate from The University of North Texas, I have worked in professional fields for several years. Customer service is my main priority. After all, your special event is one of the most important lifetime memories you will make. Feel free to call or email me.  I’ll be more than happy to help!

Additional Questions and Answers
(Q.) Is it possible to ship my items to you?

(A.) Yes, if you prefer to ship your items to me, please provide the following information (if applicable):

1. Tracking Number for status purposes.
2. Let me know if a signature is required upon delivery.
3. Include a "Prepaid Return Receipt" if you prefer the items shipped back to you.

I will email you an invoice a few days before completion, and payment must be received before releasing
your order.

(Q.) Is it possible to deliver my invitations in person?

(A.) Yes, you may contact me to arrange a time. It is preferred that items be delivered by 6:30 p.m. (weekdays), or if the weekend is more convenient, let me know.

(Q.) How long will it take to complete my order?

(A.) Time allotment is usually one week per 100 envelopes (inner and outer). However, it is determined by other pending orders.

(Q.) Should I provide extra envelopes?

(A.) Yes, it is a good idea to provide at least 5 to 10 extra envelopes per 100 invitations.

(Q.) How should I submit my addresses?

(A.) You may submit your addresses using Microsoft Word or Excel. I prefer an emailed list, so if necessary the font could be manipulated for easier reading.

(Q.) What format should I use when creating my list?

(A). Proper etiquette standards will be used to address your envelopes. To make this task as simple as possible, it is best to show the following information (for example):

Outer Envelope
Mr. and Mrs. George Brown
Address
City, State, and Zip (omit the 4-digit extension)

Inner Envelope
Mr. and Mrs. Brown

~~Time Saver for you~~

As stated above, all wedding etiquette rules are applied when addressing your envelopes. Since your time is precious, feel free to abbreviate all states, "P.O.B." for "Post Office Box", "St." for "Street", etc.  I will write the entire word in its proper format.

(Q.) Do you sell wedding invitations?

(A.) No, but you may purchase your invitations from a variety of companies. You may visit my links / vendors page for more information.

(Q.) Do you offer calligraphy services outside of addressing envelopes?

(A.) Absolutely! Please share your ideas with me for poems, verses, vows, etc.

(Q.) How much do you charge for calligraphy?

(A.) You may visit my website, and click on "Pricing" for a current and complete list of fees. Fees for projects such as poems would be determined by the length. Please contact me for more information.

Tips and Advice
~~Please allow yourself plenty of time to devote to your guest (address) list.  It's not nearly as fun as picking out your wedding dress, flowers, etc...but nonetheless, it is important.  People move, and sadly, they don't always forward their address.  I had a bride have 16 invitations returned to her before her wedding because she thought her addresses were updated!

~~Once you order your invitations from the printer / vendor, the general timeline is about 2-3 weeks before it will be ready.  I remember anxiously waiting the 2 weeks for my wedding invitations.  When they arrived, my middle name had been misspelled & the beautiful gold lining that we chose for the inner envelope was bright GREEN!  We had to wait another 2 weeks & that definitely added a little extra stress on the calligrapher (being me)!  So, keep in mind that mistakes can happen during the planning process.  Take a deep breath and just know it will work out.

~~Could you imagine mailing your wedding invitations & then have them all (yes, ALL) returned to you?  Sadly, I've heard of this happening too many times.  Before you purchase any postage, please fully assemble an invitation, and take the time to have it weighed at the post office.  It will save you a lot of tears (and money) in the future.  Special note about "square" envelopes--it does not matter how light they are in weight...if it's square, it will automatically require more postage (I learned this from my own wedding).
