Josh founded BRAVO Live DJ in 2004, operating as a singular, part-time DJ. Although he always took it seriously from the beginning, and concentrated on offering a high-quality performance to all of his clients… It was six years before he even considered doing more with DJ’ing than just earning a “side income.” But in 2010, as business had grown quite a bit organically, both in volume and in market area… Josh decided it was time to see what the mobile DJ industry could really offer. Through the help of a reputable Business Coach, he developed (and worked) a two-year plan, before finally exiting traditional “Corporate America” for good, in 2012.

During that two-year developmental period, Josh began to focus on recruitment of the area’s other DJ talent. By 2013-2014, the BRAVO Live DJ family had grown to 4 – 5 consistent DJ’s… and the rest is history! Now, with a team of 8 “real” Pro-Mix DJ’s… BRAVO Live DJ performs over 200 shows annually and has an in-office staff of two. Josh states with excitement, “We’ve definitely become the largest, most recommended mobile DJ company in our tri-state area – and we’re growing all the time! The sky’s the limit!”

Josh has been married to the beautiful Christy Ruby for 26 years. In 1992, through a chance meeting in a hospital waiting room, Josh & Christy quickly became lovestruck teenagers. They now share four children – 3 boys & 1 girl (2 of which are adopted). Born and raised primarily in St. Albans, Josh has since made Putnam County his family’s homestead. The Ruby’s now live in Scott Depot, WV. When asked what his favorite thing about Christy is, he did not hesitate to say, “Just how much loves me… and puts up with me!”

Todd Hutchinson, aka “DJ ActRight” has been a well-known star in WV for most of his life. But it didn’t start out in the world of music at all. Although he always had a love for music in general… his High School and College life was all about basketball! Todd was an All-State basketball player at Winfield High; and continued his storied athletic career as a WV State University “Yellow Jacket.”

“Hutch” (as he was most commonly referred to then… and in some circles, even now) played basketball four full years for WV State. And graduated in 2011 with a BS in Physical Education. But shortly after graduation, in 2012, through circumstances of complete happenstance, “DJ ActRight” emerged as Hutch’s alter-ego!

DJ ActRight quickly transitioned the same energy and passion he had for basketball – into his new love: spinning music! In only 8 years, the artist formerly known as Todd has burst onto the DJ scene, and has become a well-known “public personality” through his endeavors with both the WV Power Baseball team… and formerly on the airwaves of Charleston’s 107.3 “The Beat.”

BRAVO Live DJ prides itself on identifying and recruiting the area’s top DJ talent. And Tre Briscoe made our job easy! Because of his work ethic, positive attitude, and professionalism…Tre got off to one of the fastest starts we’ve seen. A 2015 Marshall University graduate; with a B.S. in Business Management (Minors in both Marketing, and Entrepreneurship)… it’s quite obvious that Tre takes himself seriously. But don’t let that fool you… his creativity is off the charts! And fortunately for us, a passion for music gives him a creative outlet that’s a perfect fit!

As Tre’s wife of 5 years, Lexa can tell you, Tre has a big heart. Anyone that knows him would say that he’s one of the most sincere, genuine people you will ever meet. So, not surprisingly, Lexa’s caring nature is Tre’s favorite thing about her. They’ve lived in Ashland, KY for the last 6 years…after meeting for the first time at a movie theatre for which Lexa worked! And this cute couple have two eccentric dogs that certainly keep their life interesting: Toby & Riley.

Tre was quite experienced, and already had a good technical knowledge base when he joined the BRAVO Live DJ family. Tre’s Dad, who was also a DJ, was his first & foremost musical influence. Around 2006, he started picking things up here and there, and practicing what he saw his Dad doing. It wasn’t overnight, but by 2011, Tre was beginning his live performance career. And to this day, this “turntable wizard” gets nothing but rave reviews from our Brides and other clients!
