Bliss Weddings is the ultimate wedding planning experience. Professional, personable and fantastic at what they do. I have been a witness to many happy brides that have used their services and would highly recommend Bliss Weddings for every bride.
We love working with Amanda! She is a great planner and always makes sure things go smoothly on wedding day. Thanks for everything!
We have worked with Amanda and her team this season and it was a wonderful experience. They handled all the details which let the bride and groom relax and really enjoy their day. I look forward to the next Bliss Weddings event because I know the day will run very smoothly.
I've worked with Amanda and her team on several different occasions now and each time has been a complete joy! She's great at managing a lot of people and situations at once and doing it in a way that makes it all seem effortless. She works hard behind the scenes to fix and correct any unforeseen difficulties, letting couples be blissfully happy enjoying their day while she worries about the details and mishaps along the way. What I really like about Amanda is that she doesn't force people into a particular style, but rather, she works with each couple to find their unique style, and to make it shine. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Amanda to anyone for their special day.

Additional Questions and Answers

Q.)  Will a Coordinator take over?

A.) Hiring a wedding coordinator means you can enjoy all the fun of the decision making without having to
worry about how to make it all work. Your coordinator will give you as much or as little help as you need, but
will always follow your wishes. After all, it is your wedding!

Q.) Why not let my church or reception coordinator handle details of the day?

A.) The first responsibility of church or reception coordinator is to the venue, not the bride and groom. These
coordinators will only supervise vendors contracted through the facility. In most cases, their responsibility
ends when your event begins.

Q.) What are some practical ways in which a Coordinator can help me?

A.) It’s all about time and money!  A consultant can match you with the vendors by being knowledgeable
about different wedding service providers which may fit your personality and budget.  A consultant can also
help you with contract negotiations, which saves you time, money and headaches on the wedding day. A
consultant will be your eyes and ears on the wedding day by quickly and efficiently solving any problems that
should arise.  A consultant helps you take care of all the details of the wedding in a timely manner, thus,
reducing the stress and anxiety as the wedding draws near.

Q.) How can I tell if a Coordinator is providing me good service?

A.) First and foremost, follow your bridal instinct! Don’t work with somebody you’re not comfortable working
with even if others say that he /she is good. Work with people whom you can really get along with. Then,
confirm your first impressions with some sort of comments from previous clients of how he/she did in their
weddings. Don’t hesitate to call it off if you’re not comfortable working with them. Being the one in charge in
this game means you have the final say, but in respect to them, let them know early in order to not waste
everyone's time.  Secondly, get everything in writing. This way, you know what to expect from them
throughout your planning process.

Tips and Advice
Quality comes from experience.
  • Be aware of a vendor’s experience. Just because they planned their own wedding or a family member’s wedding, does NOT mean that they have the ability to plan yours.
  • Ask to see examples of their work. Not every vendor will fit your style and personality.
  • "Award-winning" does not necessarily mean that a vendor does amazing work. Ask where the award was from and what they did to earn it.
  • Recommendations are great, but don’t get caught up in someone else’s opinions. Meet with the vendor yourself and develop your own impressions. Always take what others have to say with a grain of salt.
  • Trust your bridal instinct. If someone just doesn’t feel right, don’t book them. A lot of couples experience vendor regret after booking if they haven’t done their research.

Do your research.
  • Shop around. Do price and package comparisons for every vendor you meet with.
  • Don’t be afraid to negotiate. You won’t look "cheap" at all. These vendors want your business and some are willing to lower their prices to get you to book.
  • Always meet with more than one vendor in each category. You’d be surprised how different each business is and what they all have to offer.

Read the fine print.
  • Be aware of what your package includes. Sometimes there are hidden charges that can really add up.
  • Make sure to read everything stated in the contract before signing. It may seem like common sense, but it is common for a couple to get so caught up in finding a great vendor that they sign right away.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for extras or bonus deals. Vendors will often include little extras to make their clients happy.
  • Use your resources. Ask friends and family if they know of a vendor you should meet with. Also, check out local planning websites for recommendations. The Internet can be your best friend. A great website to check out is www.weddingwire.com. There, most vendors have comments written by past clients posted, as well as any discounts and freebies they may be offering.
