Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I have experience with candlelight weddings as well as daylight and outdoor weddings as well
Is your media preference film or digital?
I use Canon digital and film cameras as required with 99% of my work being done digitally.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
When you book BK Photography you book me for the entire event.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
I do one wedding per day to insure the attention tod detail that your wedding requires.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I bring Canon digital equipment for primary use with Canon film camera;s for back up with lens ranging from very wide angle for the enviromental shots to telephoto for those all important closeups.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
I definitely have back up equipment for unforeseen incidents that can happen.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
Depending on what is going on and what arrangements I reach with the bride and groom I can charge by the hour or by the day.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
I usually get two break during the wedding day. One is usually taken in transit from the ceremony location to the reception location. The second break is usually during the food service at the reception.Usually.
Do you charge for travel?
For travel outside of the Washington DC Metro Area I do charge for travel.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Proofs are generally ready for viewing within 7 days of the event.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Proofing is offered by CD / DVD and /or Contact Sheets but I am working on phasing out the need for the Contacts Sheets altogether.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The couple may keep the proofs as long as necessary to get the album order correct but BK Photography asks that the time limit be kept to 30 days whenever possible.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
BK Photography retains the copyrights to the photgraphs as well the right to use selected photographs for portfolio or promotional usage unless other arrangements have been discussed and agreed upon in writting bewteen BK Photography and our clients.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Digital files and / or negatives are available for purchase from BK Photography witht the stipulation that BK Photography may still use selected images for portfolio or promotional useage unless other arrangements have been agreed upon in writting bewteen BK Photography and our clients
What kind of albums do you offer?
BK Photography uses only top quality Coffee Table Digital Wedding Albums.
When will the client get the final album?
The final wedding album is usually ready 30 days after final approval and return of the proofing CD / DVD's to BK Photography by the wedding couple.
