When my husband and I began wedding planning we had a few must haves. We wanted a stellar view of the inner harbor, a space that could accommodate both ceremony and reception, so guests wouldn't have to drive, an outdoor ceremony if the weather was good enough, and a reception space that wasn't your typical, cookie cutter, wedding hall.
We found all of that with The Baltimore Museum of Industry and more.
The outdoor space was perfect for our ceremony. Easily accomodating our 100 guests and giving them the perfect harbor view.
The museum was absolutely amazing. Because it's already "decorated" with so many exhibits and pieces of history, we didn't have to do any decorating outside of our center pieces which was awesome! The hall was huge and gave us multiple options for seating and dancing.
We ended up keeping the space next to the wall of windows open for dancing, so we could dance before the silhouette of the Baltimore skyline, and we sat our tables between the dance floor and the exhibits.

Claire from BMI was our contact and helped us with everything. Promptly responding to emails and letting us know every time there was a new addition to the museum.

Our guests haven't stopped talking about our venue, my husband and I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. All in all, BMI is a beautiful and fantastic place and I highly suggest it to anyone looking for something classy, convenient, fun and memorable.
You cannot get more Baltimore than The Baltimore Museum of Industry.

The UNIQUE location and exceptional experience

When it comes to corporate galas or weddings, the BMI is a best-kept secret in Baltimore! It is by far the most UNIQUE location for medium and large events. We recently held our corporate gala at the BMI on 12/9/23, and with the theme of 1920's, the museum's exhibits added to the excitement.

Our guests enjoyed the party space inside the museum and we also rented the exterior space, which overlooks the harbor. Located directly across from the iconic Domino Sugar sign, our guest clamored for photos with the sign in the background.

The museum staff were very attentive to our guests' needs and they worked hand-in-hand with our caterer, Zeffert and Gold, to ensure the gala was a success. The event space is very reasonably priced and ALL of you rental fee goes to the non-profit, how cool is that! This is our second time using the museum for important corporate events and they have delivered both times!

Everyone commented on what a cool space it was and guests loved looking through the museum exhibits during cocktail hour. The team at BMI was also very professional, responsive, and kind and truly helped to make our day magical. Would absolutely reccomend!
