Additional Questions and Answers

How much do your invitations cost?
We work with the budget bride all the way through to the formal black tie affair.  Because we do all our own designs, printing and assembly, you determine the budget and we create a gorgeous design that fits right in with what you need.

Do you print shower invitations or engagement announcements?
Yes, we do it all.  Check out our website for samples, and remember that when you order all your items as a package, you will save more.

Do you do Save the Date cards?
We sure do!  Photo cards, simple post cards, save the dates to match your invitations....if you can dream it, we can design it!

What about my reception print items?
We can create full wedding packages that include not only save the dates and invitation items, but also all your reception print needs, such as table and place cards, menus, even event programs!

Do you do Destination Wedding Packages?
We love those!  We love to design, create, dream up new ideas....and a destination wedding is a great platform for a truly unique invitation.  Call us with your destination details, and let us design a package that will wow your guests!  You won’t find our designs anywhere else, because they’re created with only one bride in mind - YOU!

Can you help me with wording ideas?
Of course.  You won’t have to worry about those tricky invitations that require just the right wording, or the informal beach weddings, or the upscale black tie affair.  We’ve got you covered with hundreds of ideas that will fit your affair perfectly!

Can you print my guest list on the envelopes?
Any guest list typed into an excel spreadsheet can be downloaded and printed directly on to your envelopes.  We also include the return address, either on the top left or on the back flap.  We will match your invitation font and color for a perfect set.

What is included with your invitations?
All invitations come with matching outer envelopes.  Other than that, you decide if you want rsvp cards, direction inserts, inner envelopes, liners, personalized postage stamps, or any other element added to your invitation.  It’s all dependant on your budget and we allow complete flexibility.

Can you create matching postage stamps?
That’s all the rage now, to have a specific element seen on your invitation carry through to your postage stamp, and we’re pleased to provide the design and printing service.  Perhaps a small flourish, an image, or your monogram.  We work in conjunction with Pitney Bowes and USPS to create a postage stamp that matches your invitation and your RSVP and is fully compliant with postal requirements.  Just an extra touch that will have your guests smiling and set your invitation apart when they find it in their mailbox!

Can I just order paper if I want to print my own invitations?
Yes. We do as much or as little as you want.   Check out this link to view our full line of colors, paper, stock and envelope types, and even pocket folders, z-cards and many other types of items for your wedding: http://www.envelopments.com/dd/8756/default.aspx.  You can order blank stock from us if your want to print your own.

Tips and Advice
Budgeting For Your Wedding Invitations
The average wedding in the United States today costs more than $20,000 - before you keel over, you have to remember as you are writing those checks that this is going to be a special, once-in-a-lifetime day and that it’s worth spending a little extra to make it memorable!  With that said, you shouldn’t spend a dime on your wedding until you know what your budget allows for each item.  It is recommended that 5% of your budget be allocated to your wedding invitation package, which would include your invitation, response card, directions, reception invite, and all corresponding envelopes.  If you’re also having your wedding programs, place cards, table cards and menus printed for your reception, bump that up to 8%.  When considering that your save the dates and invitation is the first glimpse your guests will receive into the grand affair that you dream your wedding to be, you want to be sure you’re sending the right message with the quality of your invitation.  As a broad guideline, think of further allocating 10% to your wedding attire, 8% to your photographer, 5% to your cake, 8% to your flowers, 45% to your reception and the remainder to various costs and items you want to make it YOUR special day!

Ordering The Right Number of Wedding Invitations
In calculating how many invitations are needed, do not simply add up the number of guests you are inviting.  Girls, these will be two different numbers! If you are going to have 200 guests, you will not need 200 invitations.  Rather, count up your couples, families, single guests, and do the math accordingly.  Only one invitation per address is needed in most cases.  Exceptions might include roommates who are both invited or adult children living at home, when they are invited along with their parents.  These friends should receive their own separate invitations, even though they share the same address.  We recommend that you order an additional 10 to 20 invitations, not only to account for last minute additions to your guest list, but also for Mom’s scrapbook and keepsakes for your kids down the road!

Making Sure Your Invitations Are Sent On Time
Invitations should be mailed at least six weeks prior to the wedding date. People planning a summer or holiday wedding often choose to send Save the Date cards as many as four months before the event. Save the Date cards allow out-of-town guests to plan their travel arrangments far enough in advance.
