Ashley Armitage studied photography while at the University of Florida, and through her training in the camera department on the HBO Mini-series “From the Earth to the Moon” she found her passion. As her love and her desire to be creative, thinking outside the box, she directed innovative commercials, and formed her own photography studio, Ashley Photography. She is warm, vibrant, professional, easygoing, and with a personality that will make you feel comfortable on your most exciting day and in front of the camera.

As a story teller, Ashley Photography captures moments in an organic, unobtrusive manner. She blends in as if she were one of your own guests-- capturing your tender quiet moments as well as loud bursts of excitement. With no set shot list, your moments will be captured telling your story, making your wedding stand alone from the rest. It’s your wedding day. Ashley will guide you, but she won’t make you pose or direct action.

Ashley on her Photography Style-
"There are three types of photography style: Traditional, Illustrative, and Photojournalism. Traditional are posed images. This was the popular style my parents had for their wedding. As a professional photographer, we are trained to pose you in the position that is most flattering for you, and your guests. When digital cameras came around 10 years ago, photographers introduced Illustrative and Photojournalism style to weddings. Illustrative photography is "posed" photography however looking more natural and spontaneous, however the "subject" is still aware of the camera. These are images that you would find in magazine spreads and covers. Photojournalism photography the subject is not aware of the camera, and is not being directed or posed by the photographer. Many newspaper photographers used this style and introduced it to Weddings, and other events."


Ashley Photography photographs with all three styles. She feels that traditional is important and will be the beginning of your heirloom, documenting who was at your event. Ashley uses an art process of choreographing portraits which seems painless and makes everyone comfortable.
Illustrative style brings out the "you"-- your personality and your wedding details--the ones you've worked so hard on. Ashley captures images that are edgy, creative, and fun.

Combining these styles with a mixture of Photojournalism, the "Life" moments, - all the images captures the moment that brings the island out in you, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Ashley Photography After
After your event your images are imported into Canon software, the exposures are adjusted and then the images are edited. We create a low res selection you'll access through our online hosting website. Once your selections are made, images are retouched, they are sent via FTP to our state of the art professional lab. The images are then returned to Ashley Photography for final approval, held for pick up, delivery, or can also be shipped directly to your home or office.
