About
On WeddingWire since 2008
I love weddings and I've been photographing them for over 25 years. I love the excitement, the nervousness, the details, the flowers, the food, the love. I LOVE the love! To keep our clients happy and our vision fresh, we photograph only a select number of weddings each year, so book early to be sure we save the date for you.
We have photographed weddings all over the world from New York, Germany, France, Martha's Vineyard to Bar Harbor, Chicago to Jamaica, and everywhere in between. Destination weddings are our specialty, even when they are in Maine!
While many photographers are self-taught, I have an education in photography, a BFA and MFA. That means I’ve studied the intricacies of cameras and lighting, art, design and art history. When I create a photograph, all those years of study come into play.
Each wedding is unique, but they all have a similar rhythm to them. Because of our extensive experience, we know exactly where to be and when to capture all the moments you want to remember, and some you might have not even noticed.
We believe that every couple deserves beautiful wedding photography and we do not discriminate.
P.S. I've been doing this for a long time but I still get weepy at every wedding when the vows are said... I love weddings, did I say that already?

Amy has been photographing artful weddings for over 25 years and loving every minute of it. She looks forward to helping you have a relaxed wedding day and creating beautiful images to look at for years to come.
Emma is Amy's daughter and helped photograph her first wedding at age 6. On her off time from assisting her mother, she studies contemporary and jazz at the Joffrey Ballet School in NYC.
Rachel Coleman is a visual artist working in photography and video.
She is inspired by the fleeting and quiet moments of everyday life, resulting in photography that is ephemeral in nature. She is also inspired by healing and transformation, and often uses herself as a subject to explore visual stories that she yearns to tell. Her work draws on personal experiences, family, and connection to self and place. She aims to let both simple and complex narratives play out in her imagery.
Rachel earned a BA in communication from University of Southern Maine. Deciding to explore her life-long interest in photography, she earned a Professional Certificate in Visual Storytelling from Maine Media College in Rockport, Maine in 2023.
Professional Network & Endorsements
1 EndorsementAmy took the photos at my own wedding back in 2006. She was professional and so good I barely saw her the whole day! She has a photo journalistic style that creates timeless, classic photos. I look forward to working with her as a colleague now that I'm in the wedding industry.
