Absolutely. There is a nominal charge for a tasting; however, should you choose to book with us, that charge will be deducted from the cost of your event.

Yes. We have a full-service bakery capable of creating anything you can imagine.
 
If a bride decides to bring her own wedding cake, do you have a cake cutting fee? If yes, how much is the fee?
We do not charge a cake cutting or plating fee.
 
Are you licensed to sell alcohol? If yes, where are you licensed?
We are licensed to sell and serve alcohol in Virginia. We are able to sell and serve in DC as well, but we need a 1 month notice to obtain the necessary licensing.
 
Do you allow outside alcohol? If yes, what is the corkage fee?
We do not charge a corkage fee.
 
Do you provide rentals for items such as linens and flatware?
Amphora has a number of relationships with great vendors and can get anything, linens or otherwise, that you can imagine.
 
Are you able to provide your own wait staff?
Yes. Amphora provides staffing for every event.

Do you offer private tastings or open house tastings?
Amphora Bakery provides private tastings at our Herndon, VA bakery location.
 
What are your tasting hours?
By Appointment Only. Call 703-964-0500 to reserve a tasting.
 
Describe how you price, such as by slice or by tier, for your cakes?
Amphora Bakery prices wedding cakes per slice. If other bakery items are needed (pastries, cookies, cupcakes, etc.) those would be priced individually.
 
Does the price include the top tier of the cake?
Yes.
 
Do you offer custom cakes, or do you work with pre-designed styles?
Amphora Bakery can create any design you would like for your wedding. Choose a style from our website, our catalog or bring us a photo of your dream cake.
 
What (if any) special ingredients, such as fresh fruits or farm-fresh butter, do you use in your cakes?
Amphora Bakery is a European-style bakery featuring French Butter Cream, Fondant and Ganache decorated cakes. We can offer fresh fruit fillings and many different flavors.
 
On average, how far in advance of the event do you prepare the cake?
Amphora Bakery prefers one to two months notice to book your wedding cake. Orders placed with less lead time will incur a "late charge" fee depending on when the order is placed.
 
How many cakes do you schedule for a typical weekend?
Amphora Bakery typically creates 3-5 wedding cakes each weekend.
 
Will you work with the client's florist to garnish the cake?
Of course, Amphora Bakery will be as accomodating as possible to create the perfect cake for the bride & groom.
 
What (if any) cake accessories, such as a cake stand or cake cutter, do you rent out?
Amphora Bakery does not rent out cake accessories.
 
Do you offer delivery? If yes, how much is your average delivery fee?
Amphora Bakery will deliver within a 35 mile radius of our Vienna or Herndon locations. Delivery fees are typically around $25 depending on the delivery locaiton.
