Congratulations on your engagement!

The Academy of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic Chapel.  The only requirement is that either the bride or the groom must be Catholic.  The only documentation you will need to provide is a certified copy of your baptismal certificate dated within six months of the wedding.  We ask for this, as all Catholic churches do, because all of your sacraments are noted on the back of your baptismal certificate at your baptismal parish, even if you received your sacraments at different churches.

Our chapel is part of a school community.  We do not have a resident priest.  You are responsible for choosing and securing a priest or a deacon to marry you.  If you do not have one in mind, I would be happy to refer you to one.  There are several priests and deacons in our area who perform wedding ceremonies here regularly.  You do not have to have a full mass for your wedding.  You can choose to have only the marriage ceremony.

The rental includes a beautiful, formal parlor for the bride and her attendants and a wedding coordinator who is on-site for the rehearsal and the wedding.  It also includes the grounds for picture taking.  Rehearsals are included and are usually held the Thursday or Friday prior to the wedding.
