Inner Harbor views, convenient location, elegant decor, spacious dance floor, hand-carved mahogany and stained glass pub bar, hand-painted murals of historic Baltimore, stunning crystal chandeliers. All four floors are different and elegantly decorated, ranging from Latin-inspired decor to authentic city scenes and a historic diner replica.

How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
Rental rates include 4-hour reservation of the space, tables and chairs (for some floors)

Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?
Absolutely! Ask about special pricing to reserve on of our other floors for your rehearsal dinner, bridal shower or engagement party!

Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
1840s Ballroom site rental includes 250 mahogany chivari chairs with ivory seat cushions, 25 - 60" round tables. (8' or 6' long tables may be substituted if available and requested.)

Do you require brides to use a specific list of vendors?
We encourage brides to select vendors from our recommended list, especially caterers. If a caterer not on our preferred list is contracted, there is an additional kitchen fee and they must be licensed and insured.

Do you require the wedding party to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is there an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?
We do not provide musicians and you may contract any musicians you wish.

Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
Public rooms at the 1840s Carrollton Inn may be available as well as event space in the adjacent Carroll Mansion. Inquire about rates and availability.

Do you have cooking facilities?
We do have a catering kitchen.

Do you provide your own catering? If yes, can a bride opt to use an outside caterer if she prefers?
We do not provide on-site catering but do have a recommended list of caterers. We encourage brides to choose from our recommended list but she may bring an outside caterer if she prefers - there is an additional kitchen fee if they are not on our list and they must supply proof of insurance and caterer's license.

No - the caterer must have a liquor license.

Can the bride provide her own alcohol if desired?
Yes, but it must be served by the catering staff.

Ample.

What restrictions are there (if any) on decorations?
Bird seed, rice, and confetti are not permitted. Flower petals may be thrown outside only.
Decorations may not be attached to any woodwork or wall surface in such a manner as to leave marks, residue, or other damages.
If candles are used, they must be placed in a glass enclosure and be lighted and extinguished in place. Candles can only be set on dinning tables.

Private location, permits not required.

Does your venue often accommodate more than one wedding at a time?
We only host one event at a time in the Ballroom. Multiple events may be scheduled on the same day with at least 2 hours between the end of the first event and beginning of the second.

Do you offer security, if requested?
We do have a security guard on duty at the gatehouse for all events as well as an event host monitoring the party. We may request that additional security be hired for certain types of events at the lessee's expense.

Can you provide a coat check?
We do not provide coat check but we do have an excellent list of resources that we provide to our brides including coat check and valet service contacts.
