We chose Perfect Plan and Megan Mulkern after our very first Zoom call because of the immediate sense of ease she brought — and that same feeling carried through every step of the process, right through wedding day. Hiring Megan was the best decision we made and the decision that made everything else possible. She was thoughtful, calm, and endlessly capable — exactly the kind of person you want by your side.

Megan was generous with her time and experience. Even when questions fell outside the usual scope — like helping us come up with ideas for welcome activities — she was quick to jump in. She's creative with problem solving such as helping us arrange parking for our guests at a local school. My husband and I both have extremely demanding jobs and Megan was able to meet our scheduling needs during the planning process. She helped us find the right balance between our vision and our budget, guiding us toward smart decisions and connecting us with vendors who fit us perfectly. Her long-standing relationships across the Cape made everything smoother (she knows everyone!), and she saved us more hours of research than we can count.

There were countless moments both big and small that showed just how attentive and resourceful she is. When our invitations came back with a printing error, Megan had already called the vendor and arranged reprints before we even had a chance to worry. She helped us track down bridesmaid and groomsmen attire in the perfect shade of blue, personally picked up flowers for one of our DIY events, and even lent us her own vases. On the wedding day, when a bridesmaid’s heel broke, Megan had super glue; when a hairpin slipped out of place, she fixed it herself. Somehow, whenever the bride and groom needed something — backup shoes, hair spray, you name it — Megan somehow had it in hand.

A few months before the wedding, we did a final walk-through at the venue, and both of us were feeling the strain of planning. Megan met us at the venue and her calm, reassuring presence instantly brought us back together. She made sure we actually enjoyed our tasting that weekend and even came along to the florist afterward — something she didn’t have to do but did anyway, simply because she cared.

Megan exceeded every expectation. If we were to do it all again, we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to work with her. She’s smart, steady, detail-oriented, and genuinely kind — the perfect combination that turns what could be a stressful process into something joyful and memorable.

Over the course of a year + of planning, Megan became much more than our wedding planner. She was a steady presence, a trusted, non-judgmental sounding board, and, by the end, a friend. Our relationship never felt transactional; she was deeply invested in making our wedding weekend everything we imagined. We will never forget when my husband and I turned to one another right after our wedding and both came to the conclusion that there was no way we could have done this without Megan.

Megan and her team are incredible. The Perfect Plan helped plan our entire backyard wedding and did a fabulous job from start to end. They were very flexible with different planning packages and were willing to schedule meetings around our busy lives. They did an amazing job coordinating with vendors along the planning process and especially during set up the weekend of our wedding. They were easy to coordinate with and sent reminder emails throughout the planning process. On wedding day, from directing parking and guests to dealing with precise timing of vendors and setting up last minute decorations, they made our day stress free and amazingly smooth. We came to Megan in October with plans of getting married the following June. She quickly helped us secure all our amazing vendors (many who she already has great relationships and experiences with) for our backyard tented wedding in Orleans, MA. She was always just a phone call away and helped me to nail down every detail, even finding a dog sitter.

We loved working with the Perfect Plan for our October wedding at Chatham Bars Inn. Megan was the best! We hired her as our wedding planner after interviewing several others and cannot sing her praises enough! She was with us every step of the way, keeping us on top of tasks, proofreading our stationary, and coordinating with all of our vendors, even helping us source some items to execute on my vision for the weekend! Megan was incredibly patient and flexible with our schedules for calls/updates. She had great vendor recommendations and was a joy to work with! During a stressful time to plan a wedding and a hectic wedding season, The Perfect Plan helped us pull off a beautiful tented wedding and made our vision come to life. With planning a large tented wedding, you truly have to bring a small village into a property; coordinating all the vendors, contracts, and products needed and having that all come together for one day is a challenging task; the Perfect Plan made everything go smoothly and allowed us to enjoy the day and even the planning process! Connie was absolutely quintessential the few weeks leading up to our wedding. Shifting from a country club wedding for 150 (all we have to do is walk through the door) to a backyard wedding due to COVID restrictions prompted us to search out a wedding planner. Connie and "The Perfect Plan" team were wonderful to work with from the first interview phone call to the day of service. Connie provided some great tips and things to consider before we even started to talk about a contract. Connie made several exceptional vendor recommendations and was incredibly flexible when we decided to go with a caterer not on her recommendation list. She was so patient with a mother of the groom (me) who thought she was the wedding planner. When we finally gave over the reigns to Connie to let her do what she does - we never had a worry. She kept us abreast of the ever changing COVID regulations and helped us shift when necessary. Connie and her assistant Lauren went into over drive the week before the wedding and made sure every vendor was in sync which was no easy task with a ceremony 45 minutes away from the reception, multiple limos and a bridal party of 20. She provided a timeline that left nothing to chance. I can speak for my son and his wife when I recommend Connie and "The Perfect Plan" with the utmost confidence.
