About

Portrait Art For The Modern Bride
When the cake is all gone and the flowers have withered, all that remains are the priceless photographs you will cherish for a lifetime.  And if a picture is worth a thousand words, well then, there is simply not enough room in this little box to describe my style.  You must interpret the work for yourself, like any other art form.   Please know that it is my pleasure and honor to take part in this wonderful right of passage.  Thank you for considering my work and talent.

DJ Bill Cody and all the Party Time DJs love working with Amber at Lifestyle Portrait. Her shooting skills are fabulous and she is very easy to work with side by side as we do at Weddings and other events. I would highly recommend Amber Richardson to anyone looking for a photographer. Frequently Asked Questions
How many photographers do you work with?
I always have an assistant working with me. Between the two of us we have four cameres on hand at all times.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, you can always expect me to be the primary shooter at all my weddings.
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
Never. I only shoot one wedding per weekend.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?
Yes, but I have never had to use them.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
I shoot all Canon products. I work with one 5D and two 30D's, 5 lenses, and 3 flash units.
Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?
We like to eat! Especially when we usually work an 8 hour day. It's nice if you feed us but it is not required. If no meal is provided I usually bring a snack of some kind.
Do you charge for travel?
Only if the wedding is outside of the DFW metroplex.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Usually 5-7 business days.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, but you have permission to print from the cd for personal use only.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?
Yes.
Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes.
What kind of albums do you offer?
There are several albums offered through Zookbinders. I invite you to see their website for details at www.zookbinders.com
When will I get the final book?
Depends on how long it takes for the client to approve it but my goal is to deliver the finished album no later than 2 months after the wedding.
How long does it take to deliver a book?
Once the album is approved it takes 2 weeks to receive.

Tips and Advice

Choose a photographer whose work you LOVE!  Even if they might be a bit more expensive.  Remember when it's all said and done that's all you have left.  Next pick someone you like on a personal level.  It's so important that you feel comfortable and at ease with your photographer.  This will show through in your finished product.
