How do you
identify your primary photographic style?
A combination of artistic photojournalism
and classic wedding photography based on the couple's preferences |
Please describe
any special techniques you offer:
Color, Black & White, Sepia, Focal Color, Soft Focus; Lustre or Metallic Professional Quality Paper, Canvas Mounting & our own special antiquing touch. |
Which lighting
situations do you have experience with?
We have experience in all lighting situations |
Do you have a
media preference?
Digital |
How many
photographers do you work with?
Two for every wedding unless other prior arrangements are made, usually one for a very short ceremony and reception with a very small party |
Do you
guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Yes, both of us are included with every wedding package unless otherwise as stated in the previous question |
Do you
sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day?
We book one wedding per day. You will have our undivided time and attention. |
Do you have a
replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on
the wedding day?
We have several highly experienced replacement photographers available for emergencies. |
What kind of
equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Multiple camera bodies, lenses, lighting equipment and support equipment....plus dozens of spare batteries ! |
Do you bring
back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Yes, every shoot. We've heard the same horror stories brides hear about camera malfunctions and you can't become complacent simply because nothing ever happened before. Also, having two photographers at every wedding allows for one to continue while the other goes for backup. Thankfully it hasn't happened. Quality equipment is a definite advantage.
|
Do you charge
hourly or full day?
We provide a full 8-12 hours coverage (package dependent) with extra time available. We find that 8 hours covers almost all weddings and receptions including the 2 hours prior, venue permitting, that we arrive to catch all the preparation shots of both the bride and groom and their attendants. |
If hourly, are
you available for shooting overtime? If so, how much do you
charge for overtime?
We offer an additional block of time, if required, at $250 for 4 hours. We don't even discuss overtime if a reception runs over for an hour or so. There are many variables in keeping things on track, and it is understandable that sometimes it doesn't happen. This extra block of time comes at a very reasonable price if you find you need it. You've entrusted us to shoot a most treasured day in your life, consider it our thanks for your trust. |
Do you require
a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party
provide your meal?
No. If it is literally 8-12 hours, a little something to keep us going is nice, but we don't require it ever. |
How many breaks
do you usually take throughout the day?
We work throughout the event and usually take separate breaks so one of us is always shooting. |
Do you charge
for travel?
We do not charge for travel in the Houston area. A small fee is applicable for Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Galveston and more distant areas to cover our costs in getting there. If an overnight stay is necessary, we charge actual cost and we won't demand 5 star hotels. You have enough to deal with without having diva photographers to add to your list. |
How soon after
the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
4-6 weeks Each photo from beginning to end is hand assessed by us so you receive the best possible photos for your money. We don't believe in batch editing. It may be fast, but it isn't as accurate in most situations. |
In what format
are the initial proofs offered?
CD-ROM We find that brides and grooms are very computer savvy and prefer to view their proofs on their computer. |
How long can
the couple keep the proofs?
Forever |
Do you retain
the copyright for the photos?
Copyright-free cd's are included in four of our packages and are also available for purchase separately. They can be added to any package. See our Pearl package-designed specifically for brides wanting this option-Bridal OR Engagement session + wedding/reception with copyright-free cd's for both and includes four 11x14's. All packages are customizable to suit your needs.
|
Do you reserve
the right to publish the photos?
Yes. |
Do you provide
the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the
negatives) to the couple?
Yes. |
Will images be
available for viewing on an online gallery?
Yes, for 90 days. This can be extended on request at no extra charge. |
What kind of
albums do you offer?
Traditional, Digital Flush Mount and Coffee Table style. Parent Albums are available in all album formats. |
When will I get
the final book?
Approximately two weeks after the images are chosen by the Bride & Groom depending on the album style and design time involved. |
How long does
it take to deliver a book?
We hand deliver (locally) the final album to the Bride & Groom as soon as possible following album completion. |
