What services does a wedding florist provide?

Your florist will then create a proposal which will describe the arrangements he or she will create as well as the prices.

Flowers: A big part of your wedding flower budget will go to the actual purchasing of the flowers. It actually takes several hours for a florist to put a flower order together—and the flowers your florist will receive from his or her wholesaler or grower are far better quality than the ones you can buy at your local grocery store. They’re grown especially to be featured at events and are hand-selected for their quality.
Flower processing and storage: Once your flowers arrive to your florist, he or she will take several hours (often a whole day!) to process your flowers (taking thorns off of roses, counting the flowers, etc.) and storing them in a refrigerated space to ensure they look amazing on your wedding day.
Labor and production: Now, it’s time for your florist to create those beautiful arrangements! Each arrangement takes time to design (probably more than you would think!), so it’s quite a long process.
Delivery and set up: Your florist and his/her team will then bring your arrangements to your venue. A good amount of work needs to be done on premises to make sure that your ceremony and reception looks picture-perfect, from the altar to the reception table arrangements.
Cleanup: After your wedding, your florist and his/her team will go to your venue to remove all of the arrangements and vessels, and assist with cleanup.

I really enjoyed working with Southside Floral. We only did personal flowers (bouquets and boutonnieres) to save on costs, and their cash & carry option worked well for us. Jenny listened to what I was looking for color/flower wise and the bouquets they put together were just perfect and went well with the color scheme for the wedding. They were also flexible, when I emailed the day prior and asked if they could toss in some baby's breath for my hair they didn't bat an eye.

I hired Sofie’s Blooms for my November wedding and we utilized both floral and event design services. I had a very specific vision for my wedding and aesthetics were very important to me — it needed to be elegant, romantic and whimsy. I communicated my vision, preferred florals/greenery and our desired palette with Susie and she completely nailed it. She took what I asked for, made recommendations on how it could be even better and I was NOT disappointed. Literally everyone complimented us on the florals and overall aesthetics at the ceremony and reception. From the ceremony flowers to three different types of centerpieces expertly placed throughout the tables to the blush cheesecloth runners to the endless candles, I truly could not have asked for anything better. Susie also took a very special request to create a bouquet to honor my late sister with sunflowers, white roses and lavender/pops of purple. I appreciated that she bent over backwards to find some of those flowers on their off-season. From the first call, I trusted Susie to execute on my vision and I am so glad I did. Our wedding design and florals were a dream. If you’re looking for luxury florals and/or premium event design, then I promise Sofie’s Blooms is going to knock it out of the park for you.

Working with Rachel at Eastern Floral for our wedding was so wonderful, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone! During the process of deciding on the wedding flowers, Rachel was super flexible and incorporated my ideas wonderfully after I ended up deciding that I wanted to change up the design a bit when it was closer to the wedding. The bridal bouquet that she ultimately came up with was STUNNING! It was so much more than I'd even hoped for, and it fit so perfectly with the vision that I'd had for the "vibe" of our flowers. I'm so sad that the bridal bouquet can't stay alive forever, it was truly beautiful! The bridesmaids' bouquets and the boutonnieres all looked so lovely, too. So glad we went with Eastern Floral!
